Grain crushers are used for processing of cereals, also in dry condition.
The main function of the crusher is to break the outer caryopsis or hull of all types of grain in a process that increases the surface area of the food particle making for easier mastication and allowing the gastric fluids of ruminant animals to break down the grain and obtain the maximum nutritional benefit while aiding digestion.
